Spare ribs are my favorite so always experimenting to find healthy tasty BBQ sauces that are not riddled with high fructose corn syrup!
Here is a great recipe for a delicious sauce that is gluten free and refined sugar free. Perfect to add to any meats, fish or vegetables.
370g can of tomato paste / puree
13 oz. water
3 tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp. honey / maple syrup (you can use Monk Fruit also – depends what you have handy and prefer)
1 minced garlic clove
ΒΌ onion minced
1 tsp. sea salt
Squeeze of lemon
Put all ingredients into a saucepan: cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 2 days
