Personally I love Liver and haven’t been eating enough of it this pregnancy 🤰
Many people fear it as they think the liver stores toxins as it detoxifies but this is incorrect
Liver is in fact one of the most nutrient dense foods on this planet world 🌍
To help with a strong pregnant and indeed postpartum liver and organ meats provide the body and baby with a lot of hard-to-come-by nutrients, such as vitamin A (in the bioavailable retinol form), vitamin B12, choline, heme iron, zinc, selenium, copper, riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3) and folate.
In Chinese medicine TCM they say if you want to heal a particular organ of the body eg your liver, then you need to eat that organ so eat some liver to heal your liver 💪❤️🌈😍
As it’s summer and I’m a Pitta dosha I like to pair it with some astringent Rocket and use ghee and fennel to cook it in to cool the body and nourish it with good fats.
Not to everyone’s taste I know but pregnancy takes a lot out of you and growing a human is a huge responsibility so do it right 👍🏻
